FALL BETTER.

FEAR LESS.

The Falling Class

Falls are inevitable. Serious injuries don’t have to be.

The Falling Class teaches active adults safer-falling skills.

For decades, healthy aging has prioritized preventing falls. But even the best fall prevention programs can't prevent every fall. We believe safer-falling is a life skill that belongs alongside fall prevention.

The Falling Class is a skill-based training program designed for active adults 55+. Through progressive, evidence-informed instruction, students build safer-falling skills to respond more effectively during a fall.

Developed by Atlanta Judo Midtown, The Falling Class builds on AJM’s 30+ years of experience teaching people how to fall safely. Our curriculum translates principles from judo and professional stunt training into an approachable program designed specifically for active older adults.

Our mission is to empower people to live active, independent lives while advancing safer-falling as an essential part of healthy aging.

When I fell, I was aware of falling and the next thing I know, I’m on the ground- my arms were crossed on my chest, my head was tucked in... It happened so fast. I attribute it to the (Falling Class) training we have been going to for the previous 3 weeks. I was impressed and a little shocked... I said damn, nothing is hurting!” -Cliff Bottin, 82
